Today we finally treated ourselves to something we had been eyeing since we moved in to our new neighborhood. Back in the Day Bakery. The minute we walked in I fell in love. The decor is straight out of my Pinterest dreams. We had heard amazing things about it, and the case was looking a bit empty by the time we got to it, which was late in the afternoon. Curls ordered Miss Cheryl’s Brownie, and I ordered a slice of chocolate cake. We took them to go, since we had to have dinner first, and though we were able to wait until the dishes were washed (but maybe not dried), we did not wait long enough to take a picture. Luckily other fans have had more willpower than us, and I found a great picture online. If you click the pic, it will take you to the site where you can find even more amazing pictures. Let me just tell you though, this place surpassed the hype, which I didn’t think was possible. Best brownie we have ever had (except for Mom’s blondies of course!) and the cake was amazing. The chocolate icing had the perfect flavor and texture, and I know what I’m talking about, I worked in one of Annapolis’s best bakeries for four years! Today we learned the true meaning of “melts in your mouth” Brava Back in the Day, Brava.
